Torger Christian “Toto” Wolff, an Austrian businessman and former race car driver, was born on January 12, 1972, in Vienna, Australia. He is the team’s team principal and CEO and owns a 33% share in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.  He clocked 50 this year.

Wolff’s career in motorsport began in the German Formula Ford Series and the Austrian Formula Ford Championship. He participated in the FIA GT Championship and the Italian GT Championship after winning his division in the 1994 24 Hours of Nürburgring.

Initially concentrating on Internet and technology companies, Wolff created Marchfifteen Investments in 1998 and Marchsixteen Investments in 2004. He focuses on making strategic investments in mid-sized industrial and publicly traded businesses, such as Williams F1 and German HWA AG.

Wolff began his career in motorsport in 1992 with the Austrian Formula Ford Championship. In 1993 and 1994, he competed in the German and Austrian Formula Ford. He won his division at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring in 1994.
