Jasper Pääkkönen parents: Meet Seppo Pääkkönen, Virve Havelin

Joona Jasper Pääkkönen, a Finnish actor and businessman, was born on July 15, 1980, and is 42 years old.

Pääkkönen’s international breakout performance as Halfdan the Black in the historical drama television series Vikings (2016-2018; 2020) occurred in 2015 after a career spanning more than two decades in Finnish films. His subsequent roles were in the war drama Da 5 Bloods (2020) and the comedy-drama BlacKkKlansman (2018), both directed by Spike Lee.

When Pääkkönen was seven years old, he appeared in The Glory and Misery of Human Life in 1988.  He rose to fame in the Finnish television soap opera Salatut elämät as Saku Salin (1999–2002). Pääkkönen has acted in a number of commercial successes throughout the course of his career, making him “the most profitable film actor in Finland,” according to a calculation made by the Finnish tabloid Ilta-Sanomat.
