Actor Nathan O’Toole was born in Ireland on March 17, 1998. His performance as a young Bjorn Ironside in the first, second, and fourth seasons of the History television series Vikings made him very famous. At age 13, O’Toole played Vincenzo in the Showtime television series The Borgias. The 24-year-old actor has been very active from 2012 till now.
Before going to Dunshaughlin Community College, he studied at St. Seachnall National School. At age 10, he enrolled in Ann Kavanagh’s Young People’s Theatre’s acting workshops. Then he continued to train at Dublin’s Bow Street Academy.
The television series Vikings were influenced by the sagas of Ragnar Lodbrok, a Viking who is one of the most well-known mythical Norse heroes and is well-known for being the ruin of Anglo-Saxon England and West Francia. With the help of his family and other soldiers, Ragnar is portrayed in the show as a farmer who gets famous by attacking England and eventually becomes a Scandinavian king. Later seasons of the show trace his sons’ fortunes and exploits in England, Scandinavia, Kievan Rus, the Mediterranean, and North America.
