Ricky Dene Gervais is an English comedian, actor, writer, and director. He co-created, co-wrote, and acted in the British television sitcoms The Office, Extras, and An Idiot Abroad. He also created, wrote, and starred in Derek, and After Life.
Gervais initially worked in the music industry. He attempted a career as a pop star in the 1980s as the singer of the new-wave act Seona Dancing and managed the then-unknown band Suede before turning to comedy. He appeared on The 11 O’Clock Show on Channel 4 between 1998 and 2000, garnering a reputation as an outspoken and sharp-witted social provocateur.
What religion is Ricky Gervais? Is Ricky Gervais an atheist?
McKellen is an atheist. Why don’t you believe in God? It is ironic therefore that “I don’t believe in God because there is absolutely no scientific evidence for his existence and from what I’ve heard the very definition is a logical impossibility in this known universe,” comes across as both patronizing and impolite.
