Brandon Jacob Uranowitz is an American stage and screen actor. He is best known for his roles as Adam Hochberg in the Broadway revival of An American in Paris from 2014 to 2015, and as Mendel Weisenbachfeld in the 2016 Broadway revival of Falsettos. He was nominated for three Tony Awards for these performances, including Best Featured Actor in a Musical and Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in Burn This in 2019. Among his other Broadway credits are Baby, It’s You! (2011), Prince of Broadway (2017), and The Band’s Visit (2018).

While attending NYU, Uranowitz resumed his acting career, portraying Richard III and the King of France in All’s Well That Ends Well at Classical Studio, Cardinal Bellarmin in Galileo at The Skirball Center (2007), and Dante in Only Children at The Abe Burrows Theatre. Following graduation, he appeared as Feste in Twelfth Night at the Kirk Theatre off-Broadway in 2009, and Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs/Broadway Bound at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego in 2010. Brandon Uranowitz’s portrayal of Feste in Twelfth Night was praised by both PlayShakespeare.com and MusicOMH, who said he “rocks it” and “plays the fool character with restrained glee.” According to PlayShakespeare.com, Uranowitz is “absolutely spellbinding.” For his work, Uranowitz was nominated for a PlayShakespeare.com Falstaff Award for Best Supporting Performance, Male.
