In Christchurch, New Zealand, on September 10, 1984, Byron Coll was born. Coll has training in acting and composition, but singing has never been one of his specialties.
He had only ever performed on stage once in 2013. Byron Coll is a member of the Viva La Dirt League supporting cast. He has appeared 24 times.
Where did Byron Coll go to high school?
He was up in Christchurch and went to St Joseph’s in Papanui before transferring to St Bede’s. He only became interested in acting in his thirteenth year, when a buddy asked him to participate in the school’s Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival production.
Then, things developed very quickly. Coll was chosen for a weekend workshop in Taupo after his performance of The Bard, and from there he was one of 20 students flown to London, England, to perform at the restored Globe Theatre.
After graduating, he attempted to pursue theatre and film at the university but gave up after a short while. He claims, “I didn’t want to do it; I was simply too taken with acting, honestly.”
