The Power Rangers is an American entertainment and product brand based on the Japanese tokusatsu franchise Super Sentai. It centers around a live-action superhero television series.
The Power Rangers television series, which was first produced by Saban Entertainment, then by BVS Entertainment, then by Saban Brands, and finally by SCG Power Rangers LLC and its parent company, Hasbro, today, was heavily influenced by the Super Sentai television series, which was created by Toei Company.
On August 28, 1993, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the first Power Rangers episode, debuted on television. Along with a line of action figures and other toys from Bandai, it helped launch the Fox Kids programming block in the 1990s, a time when it rose to enormous popularity.
Despite early criticism that the franchise was intended for young audiences because of its active violence, it has been financially successful. There are currently 29 television seasons of the Power Rangers franchise, 21 themed series, and three motion pictures from the years 1995, 1997, and 2022.
What is Wendee Lee’s name and role in Power Rangers?
Wendee Lee plays the character Scorpina in Power Rangers. In addition to Goldar, with whom she frequently engaged in combat, Scorpina was Rita Repulsa’s most brutal and dangerous enforcer.
When she grew to a giant size, she transformed into a scorpion monster with a giant stinger-like ponytail in lieu of her left hand and a large claw in place of her sword that could be flung like a boomerang.
Despite playing a minor villain, Scorpina was the primary adversary of the comic “Soul of the Dragon” as well as the episodes “Green With Evil Part III,” “The Rockstar,” “A Star Is Born,” and “Goldar’s Vice-Versa.”
