2022 FIFA World Cup: Who is the coach for Cameroon?

Internationally, he participated in a record eight Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, serving as captain in five of them (the others being South Africa 1996, Burkina Faso 1998, and Angola 2010), and holds the record for the most consecutive games played in the tournament with 35 first team games.

Song was apparently close to becoming Chad’s national team manager in late 2015, but a deal was never reached. Song was named manager of the Cameroon A’ team in February 2016, which is made up of Cameroonian players.

Song was one of 77 applicants for the vacant Cameroon national team position in April 2018. Later in the year, he was appointed as a caretaker.

Song took charge of the Cameroon U-23 national football team for the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations on October 17, 2018, according to FECAFOOT.

Song was named manager of the senior Cameroon national team on February 28, 2022, succeeding Toni Conceiço.
