Higgins was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 172nd overall pick in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He agreed to a four-year deal on May 13 for about $2.52 million, which included a signing bonus of about $184,000 as well. In his first season, he caught six passes for 77 yards.
