The National Football League’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Olakunle Fatukasi was born on June 11, 1999. At Rutgers, he played collegiate football.
Fatukasi is a native of Nigeria. Tunde, the younger of his two siblings, began his playing career at Rutgers before moving on to Bowling Green. His older brother Folorunso currently plays for the Jacksonville Jaguars after playing football for UConn. He owns the t-shirt business O3.
Three-star recruit Fatukasi made a 2016 commitment to play for Rutgers for the 2017 class. During his first season, he played in each of Rutgers’ twelve games. He played linebacker and on special teams in eleven games in 2018 and recorded twenty tackles.
He participated in all 12 of Rutgers’ games in 2019 and started ten of them as a weak-side linebacker. Greg Schiano’s first competitive season will be in 2020, and Fatukasi was appointed team captain. In all nine of his games, he started, and he led the Big Ten in tackles. He once received the Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week honour during the course of the season.
