Kerby Joseph is an American football safety who was born on November 14, 2000. He now plays for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He attended Illinois for his collegiate years and played football there.
Joseph spent his childhood in Orlando, Florida, where he also completed his high school at Jones. As a senior, he played cornerback and had four interceptions, seven tackles for loss, and five touchdown receptions. He also played wide receiver and had five touchdown receptions. Joseph was ranked as a three-star prospect and had offers to play college football from Mississippi State, Syracuse, South Florida, and Florida Atlantic. However, he chose to play for Illinois instead of any of those schools.
In a game against the Green Bay Packers on November 6, Kerby Joseph made his NFL debut and quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with by stealing the ball from star quarterback Aaron Rodgers twice and preventing a touchdown pass from being completed.
