Eddie Jackson is a 1.83 meters tall American footballer born in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. He is currently the Chicago Bears’ free safety.
Where did Eddie Jackson go to college? Did Eddie Jackson play college football?
Jackson played college football at the University of Alabama from 2013 to 2016. He was voted the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship Defensive MVP after recording three tackles and an interception against arch-rivals Clemson.
He appeared in all 15 games and had 46 tackles and six interceptions. Jackson shattered his left leg during the 2016 season, therefore ending his season. Despite only appearing in eight games, he was selected as second-team all-conference.
Jackson was ranked the fifth-best strong safety prospect in the draft by NFLDraftScout.com and was projected to be a third-round pick.
He tragically suffered a broken leg in October, which kept him from participating in any physical drills during the pre-draft process. Jackson had been invited to the NFL Combine but was unable to participate due to the injury.
