The National Football League’s Chicago Bears offensive guard Cody Michael Whitehair was born on July 11, 1992. He was selected to the All-Midlands Region team of PrepStar magazine when Abilene finished 10-1 despite losing to Buhler in the second round of the KSHSAA 4A state playoffs. On the season, he recorded 81 total tackles (41 solos, 40 assisted), 140 pancake blocks, and 15 sacks.
After redshirting his first season at Kansas State in 2011, Whitehair started at guard in 2012 and 2013.

Prior to his junior year in 2014, he transitioned to offensive tackle and competed as a junior and senior.
