On July 1, 1993, De’Vondre Campbell, a linebacker for the National Football League’s Green Bay Packers, was born. He played collegiate football at Hutchinson Community College before relocating to Minnesota. He was chosen by the Atlanta Falcons in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He has additionally acted as an agent for the Arizona Cardinals. After competing for Hutchinson Community College at the junior college level, Campbell played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers from 2013 to 2015. As a sophomore in 2013, he recorded 39 total tackles, three tackles for a loss, and one forced fumble.
In total, he made 75 tackles in 2014, including 6.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, one interception, one pass deflection, and three fumble recoveries. In his final collegiate season in 2015, he had 92 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, one interception, three passes deflected, and two forced fumbles.
On March 17, 2022, Campbell re-signed with the Packers for a $50 million, five-year deal. On October 23, 2022, Campbell scored his first NFL touchdown when he intercepted a ball from Taylor Heinicke and returned it 63 yards in a Week 7 loss to the Washington Commanders.
