The first suspect in the two shootings outside the residence of the Republican candidate for governor of New York is 18-year-old Noah Green.
Charges against Green include criminal possession of stolen property and possession of a weapon. One of the shooting’s weapons has been found.
Zeldin, 46, told The Post on Sunday that his twin teenage daughters were doing their homework when the shooting started even though he wasn’t at home at the time.
And that when they heard gunshots, they locked themselves in a bathroom and dialed 911.
District Attorney for Suffolk County Raymond A. Tierney issued a statement regarding the arrest that the shooting that took place outside Congressman Zeldin’s home has been the focus of three weeks of investigation by detectives from the Suffolk County Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office.
They had now found one of the weapons used in that risky shooting thanks to their diligent and cooperative police work.
Green is being held in lieu of $750,000 in cash, $1.5 million in bonds, and $7.5 million in partially secured bonds.
On Friday, he is scheduled to return to court as the investigation continues.

Green’s age is the only information that has been discovered so far. He is only 18 years old.
