Derion Rayshawn Kendrick, a cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League, was born on August 24, 2000. He participated in collegiate football at Georgia and Clemson.

In Rock Hill, South Carolina, Kendrick attended South Pointe High School. In high school, he was a quarterback and wide receiver. After passing for 2,683 yards and 30 touchdowns as a senior and rushing for 1,194 yards and 20 more, he was named the South Carolina Gatorade Football Player of the Year.

The 2018 U.S. Army All-American Game participant Kendrick was a nominee for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award. He made a commitment to play college football at Clemson University.

He switched to cornerback before his sophomore campaign in 2019, but after wowing coaches, he made the switch permanently and was given the starting job.

He recorded 43 tackles, two interceptions, and a touchdown in 15 starts. Kendrick has kicked off the Clemson University football team in February 2021. This followed a string of disciplinary issues. He declared his relocation to Georgia in June.
