Since Deion Sanders in 1985, he was the first true freshman to start a game at cornerback for the Seminoles. In his first season, Ramsey wore the #13 jersey as Florida State defeated Auburn to win the National Championship.
Later, for his sophomore and junior seasons, he changed to jersey #8.
