Jalen Lattrel Ramsey, a cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL), was born in Smyrna, Tennessee on October 24, 1994.
He attended Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee, and participated in Florida State’s collegiate football program. He was taken fifth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft, but he is now a cornerback for the Los Angeles Rams in the National Football League, the top level of American football.

Contract
In the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected Ramsey. He agreed to a four-year deal worth $23.35 million, of which a $22.90 million guarantee and a $15.18 million signing bonus were included.
The Los Angeles Rams acquired Ramsey in a trade on October 15, 2019. In 2020, he agreed to an additional $105 million in Los Angeles Rams contract terms.
With this deal, he became the highest paid cornerback in NFL history and signed the highest-valued contract ever for a cornerback. Additionally, he received a $71.2 million signing bonus.
Ramsey’s Rams contract extension is expected to keep him with the team through the end of 2026, with a possible termination clause after 2023.
For the seasons of 2022 and 2023, respectively, $7.5 million and $12.5 million of his salary are guaranteed. A $1.5 million and a $2.5 million roster bonus each are included in the contract for 2023, 2024, and 2025, respectively.
