Jaylon Smith, a linebacker for the New York Giants of the National Football League, was created on June 14, 1995. (NFL). The Dallas Cowboys took notice of him while watching him play college football at Notre Dame and selected him 34th overall in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Smith participated in track, basketball, and football at Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received the Butkus Award, which is given to the nation’s top high school linebacker, as Indiana’s Mr. Football and a senior football player.
Smith joined the New York Giants’ practice squad on December 17, 2021. Smith was inserted as a COVID-19 for the game against the Dallas Cowboys on December 18, 2021 after being activated from the practice squad. Smith was included in the roster of participants as of December 20, 2021.
Smith re-signed with the New York Giants on September 20, 2022, and became a member of their practice squad. He received a promotion to the active roster on October 1st, 2022.
