Takeoff, a member of the Atlanta-based rap duo Migos, was shot and killed outside a Houston bowling alley where he and groupmate Quavo were attending a private party early Tuesday.
He was 28 years old. The police are currently conducting an initial inquiry. While we await more information on the probe, many people are inquisitive about the group.
The original three consists of Takeoff (Kirshnik Khari Ball, 28), Quavo (Quavious Keyate Marshall, 31), and Offset, Cardi B’s husband (Kiari Kendrell Cephus, age 30).
They got an ASCAP Vanguard Award in 2018 for their streaming success with multiplatinum songs like “Motorsport” (featuring Cardi B and Nicki Minaj), “Stir Fry,” and “Walk It Talk It.”
The trio also played a fictionalized version of themselves on an episode of the hit television show “Atlanta,” albeit they weren’t all together at the time.
While Takeoff and Quavo just released their collaboration album “Only Built for Infinity Links” last month, Offset released a solo album in 2019. Tupac, Biggie, Lil Wayne, Master P, and Outkast were among the musicians they grew up listening to. According to Rolling Stone, the older two also played high school football in their hometown.

Quavo’s nephew, Takeoff, is Offset’s cousin. According to Rolling Stone, Quavo’s mother, Edna Marshall, reared the three of them in the same modest house in Atlanta’s northern suburbs.
