American football guard Landon Dickerson, who was born on September 30, 1998, plays for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League. Dickerson was raised in Hickory, North Carolina, and went to South Caldwell High School.
As a senior in high school, he participated in the Under Armour All-America Game and was selected for the first-team All-State. Dickerson chose Florida State over offers from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Georgia, and Auburn despite being a four-star recruit entering college.
At Florida State, Dickerson started his collegiate career. He was selected as the Seminoles’ right guard starter during training camp, making him the first offensive lineman to start the first game of the season since Jamie Dukes in 1982. Before sustaining a knee injury that ended his season, he started the first seven games of the year.
