Jimmy Morrissey went to La Salle College High. In his junior and senior years, when he was also awarded All-City by the Philadelphia Daily News, he was named All-Philadelphia Catholic League. When Morrissey graduated from high school, there was fewer Division I FBS offers made to him. He turned down offers from Lehigh, Bucknell, and Colgate to enroll as a preferred walk-on at the University of Pittsburgh.
