Joseph Vincent Flacco is a quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was born on January 16, 1985. (NFL).

After leaving Pittsburgh, he played college football at the University of Delaware. In the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens picked him up. Flacco has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Denver Broncos.

Flacco was Baltimore’s starting quarterback from 2008 until the middle of the 2018 season. He helped lead the Ravens to the playoffs six times. During his time in Baltimore, the Ravens won the AFC North twice, went to three AFC Championship Games, and beat the San Francisco 49ers to win Super Bowl XLVII after the 2012 season. Flacco was named the MVP of Super Bowl XLVII.

This ended a postseason run in which he tied Joe Montana’s record for most touchdown passes in a single postseason with 11. That off-season, he signed a six-year deal worth $120.6 million, which at the time was the highest contract ever for a quarterback.

Flacco was invited to the Pro Bowl after a season in 2014 in which he set a career-high with 27 touchdowns and passed for almost 4,000 yards. However, he had to turn it down because his wife was giving birth to one of his children that same weekend.
