Aledo High School, in Aledo, Texas, was McClellan’s high school. He rushed for 6,468 yards and scored 122 touchdowns throughout his career. 2020 Under Armour All-American Game will feature him as a participant. He had previously pledged to play college football for the University of Oklahoma before switching to the University of Alabama.

 

In 2020, McClellan ran 23 times for 245 yards and two touchdowns while a true freshman at Alabama. He participated in five games as a junior in 2021 before tearing his ACL, which caused his season to be over. He had 40 carries for 191 yards and a touchdown by the end of the season. To begin the 2022 season, McClellan made a full recovery from the ACL tear.
