Holbrook, the son of Ellen and Don Holbrook, was born in Prestonsburg, Kentucky on September 1, 1981.
His earlier acting credits include a part with model Tiah Eckhardt in the Permanent Me music video for “Allison.”
Holbrook has worked with David Armstrong as a photographer. He is also a sculptor, and from April 19 to May 17, 2008, he displayed his work in his debut exhibition, “Iscariot,” at the Rare gallery in Chelsea, New York.
Through the website Model-Max.com, he published a brief collection of poems with Jamie Strachan’s graphics.
The American actor has played Corinthian in The Sandman (2022–), DEA agent Steve Murphy in the Netflix series Narcos (2015–2017), and “Cap” Hatfield in the History miniseries Hatfields & McCoys.
