Gerry South is a Canadian actor who is best known for his role in the action thriller Deadpool 2 where he starred alongside fellow Canadian actors Ryan Reynolds and Michasha Armstrong.
He was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He developed a passiom for acting at a very young age and participated in numerous school and community theater productions.
After his family relocated to Toronto, Canada, Gerry saw the opportunity to make his breakthrough in the North American movie industry. He continued to play the lead role in several of his high school plays, which led to him obtaining the A B Patterson award for achievement in the arts.
He decided to enroll in the intense program at the Ryerson Theatre School rather than launch a career in acting right away before moving to Vancouver where he landed an acting gig.
