Scrivener is currently married to Simone. After taking home the Australian Boys’ Amateur championship in 2007, the Scrivener became professional in 2010.
Before going pro, he participated in the U.S. Amateur and was ranked among the top 30 amateur golfers in the world.

Former European Tour champion Jarrod Moseley provided inspiration for Scrivener to pursue a career in Europe. He was able to earn four tour cards in 2013 from the Australasian, Canadian, OneAsia, and Challenge Tours.
In 2014 and 2015, he twice advanced from European Tour Qualifying School. After winning the NSW Open Championship in 2017, his first professional victory, he rose to number 183 on the Official World Golf Ranking.
