‘Extremely talented’ drill rapper Maximillian Kusi-Owusu shot dead by Kensington High Street flats
A rapper and father who was shot and killed near a Kensington apartment building has received tributes for his exceptional talent.
Upon their arrival at Kensington High Street just after 2am on Sunday, officers discovered 29-year-old Maximillian Kusi-Owusu suffering from gunshot wounds. According to family acquaintances, Max was the father of one “devastated” girl and was also known as the extremely effective drill rapper M Lo.
The 20-year-old rapper passed away just after 5.30 am after being taken to a hospital in the heart of London. The rapper was a member of the drill collective £R, located in south Kilburn, and had hits like 2016’s Designer and Pain garner over a million listens apiece on Spotify and YouTube.
With longtime partner C-Biz, he recently released Keep It With Me as the follow-up to his “high energy” LP Lo Jams in 2020.
