A massive defeat that got Sevilla beaten by three goals against Barcelona on Saturday (September 3), has gotten tables shaken from the head coach’s position.
Mauricio Pochettino, a former manager of Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain, has apparently been contacted by Sevilla.
This follows their worst-ever LaLiga season debut under Julen Lopetegui. In their first four games of the current campaign, the Europa League champions from 2020 have only accrued one point.
Along with losses at Osasuna and Almeria, there was a tie versus Valladolid. In the following game, Sevilla was destroyed 3-0 by Barcelona at home.
A challenging stretch of games against Espanyol, Villarreal, and Atletico Madrid are now in store for them.
With Sevilla playing Premier League champions Man City tomorrow(September 6), the Champions League might also get off to a rocky start.
According to reliable sources, Estadio Deportivo now asserts that Pochettino has been approached by club officials about a spectacular switch to Spain.
The Argentine manager was fired by PSG this summer and is currently without a club. He would undoubtedly take the offer when it is put on the table.
