
Specs Howard, a radio pioneer who spent three decades entertaining audiences in Cleveland, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan, was born Julian “Jerry” Liebman on April 8, 1926.
Before relocating to Detroit in the 1960s, he gained notoriety in Cleveland as a member of the Martin and Howard Show. In Southfield, Michigan, he founded the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in 1970.
