Matthew Robert Smith is an actor from England. He is most known for his appearances as the eleventh Doctor in the BBC television series Doctor Who and Prince Philip in the Netflix television series The Crown, for which he received a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award.
Smith was cast as the younger version of Ralph Fiennes’ character in Martin McDonagh’s black comedic crime In Bruges (2008), but his scenes were deleted from the finished product. Lynne and David Smith gave birth to Matt Smith.
