Brian Patrick Stelter is a former CNN chief media correspondent and the anchor of the CNN show “Reliable Sources.” He held these positions from 2013 until 2022. Stelter is also a former New York Times media reporter and TVNewser editor.
Stelter was born on September 3, 1985, in Damascus, Maryland. He graduated from Damascus High School in 2003 and went on to Towson University, where he was the editor-in-chief of The Towerlight from 2005 to 2007.

Brian Stelter and his wife, NY1 traffic reporter Jamie Stelter, have a girl named Sunny Ray, who was born in May 2017, and a boy named Story Moon, who was born in August 2019. They live on Manhattan’s Upper West Side in the Lincoln Square area.
Stelter was raised Methodist but is now an atheist. In 2011, Stelter dated CNBC anchor Nicole Lapin. He married Jamie Shupak, a traffic anchor for NY1, on February 22, 2014.
The couple married in a Jewish wedding style and raised their children according to Shupak’s Jewish beliefs.
