Armand Gustav Duplantis is an American-born Swedish pole vaulter and the current world record holder with a height of 6.20 meters, set indoors a world best of 6.16 meters, and the current Olympic champion. He represented Sweden as a pole vaulter at the 2009 World Youth Championships and 2012 World Junior Championships.
He won the gold medal at the 2018 European Championships with a height of 6.05 meters (19 ft 10 in) and the silver medal at the 2019 World Championships. Duplantis has also won the 2021 Diamond League and the 2021 European Indoor Championships, setting Championship Bests at both.

Greg Duplantis who is of Cajun descent is a former pole vaulter with a personal best of 5.80 m (19 ft 1⁄2 in). He completed Lafayette High School and proceeded to Louisiana State University.
He became an All-American pole vaulter at LSU, where he competed from 1982-86, and later was a U.S. Olympic team alternate in 1996. Gregory G. Duplantis graduated from Louisiana State University with a Juris Doctor in 1996. He was admitted into State Bar Association in 1996.
