Dick Vitale health: Does Dick Vitale still have cancer?

On Monday, Dick Vitale posted on social media that he had blood work and tests at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

The longtime ESPN analyst declared himself cancer-free in April after being diagnosed with lymphoma in October 2021, which was unrelated to his prior melanoma diagnosis.

“As many cancer patients are aware, the anxiety right now is waiting for the results of the various blood work tests,” Vitale wrote on Instagram on Monday.

Dick Vitale was raised in Garfield after being born in Passaic, New Jersey. In his first year of college, he relocated to East Paterson (now Elmwood Park).

John, his father, worked as a piecework garment press operator and a security guard in addition to that. His mother, Mae, was a coat seamstress who worked in a factory.
