Vassiliki Papadimitriou obituary: What happened to Tommy Lee’s mother?

Sadly, 1957 Miss Greece contestant Vassiliki Papadimitriou, the mother of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, passed away in 2012.

“One of the loves of my life has gone. My Dear Mother has passed,” Lee posted Friday on his Twitter page. The next day, he sent out a fitting musical tribute in the form of a link to the following YouTube clip of the song ‘Blue’ from his 2002 solo album ‘Never a Dull Moment’:

“This gravity is pulling me / On down / This time of change seems so strange / Don’t let me go, catch me / I’m fallin.. fallin through / If I’m not with you / All I wanna do is feel blue.”

Papadimitriou gave birth to Lee in Greece in 1962, and the family relocated to California the following year, according to HearEvil. During this trying period, our hearts go out to Lee and his younger sister Athena.

Vassiliki was well known because of her son.
