Raymond Briggs – a British illustrator, cartoonist, graphic novelist, and author has been reported dead. He is said to have passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Aged 88. His death was confirmed by his family, who said he “was much loved and will be deeply missed”. He was a widower as of his time of death. He was married to Jean Briggs for a decade since they tied the knot in 1963 and parted ways in 1973 when she passed away after suffering from schizophrenia. She died from leukemia in 1973, two years after his parent’s death.
