Lily Spence was an Antrim camogie icon who died at the age of 98 on August 3, 2022.

Ms. Spence died quietly on Monday at the Nazareth Care Village in Belfast, where she had resided on Falls Road.
With the Saffrons, the Belfast native won an All-Ireland. She was a member of the team that won the championship in 1947, defeating Dublin in the final 2-4 to 2-1.
She was also the president of the Camogie Association from 1956 to 1959 and the originator of Ulster Schools’ camogie.
