Archibald William Roach AM was an Aboriginal Australian musician. He was a singer, songwriter, guitarist, a Gunditjmara and Bundjalung elder and a campaigner for the rights of Indigenous Australians. His wife and musical partner was the singer Ruby Hunter.

Archie was married to his wife name Ruby Hunter who is also a singer. They got married in 1955 and were separated in 2010. His wife and fellow musician Ruby Hunter passed away on the 17th of February 2010, at the age of 54. On the 14th of October 2010, she had a stroke while performing work in the Kimberley region.

He was fortunate to have three people to be his parents. He was born to Nellie Austin, Delcie Cox, and Alec Cox. He was born on the 8th of January 1956 in Mooroopna, Australia. He spent his early years living in the Framlingham Mission before being taken away from them when he was four.
He died on the 30th of July 2022 at the Warrnambool Base hospital after a long illness. His family and loved ones were with him when he died. He died at the age of 66 years.
