President Barack Obama has shared his pick of 44 summer music on social media. It’s a diverse blend of pop, r&b, and hip hop music, as usual.
The list is dominated by old-school classics such as Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy,” Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark,” Miles Davis’ “Blue and Green,” and many more. That’s not unexpected given that he would naturally choose tunes from the age he grew up in or music from his family’s household.
“Every year, I feel delighted to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new musicians through your responses and its example of how music can truly unite us all.” This summer, here’s what I’ve been listening to.
He also included recent songs such as Beyonce’s “Break My Soul,” Tems’ “Vibe Out,” Bad Bunny and Bomba Estereo’s “Ojitos Lindos,” Hope Tala’s “Cherries,” and others.
President Obama’s tastes and style are diverse across genres. Music fans should absolutely check out these tracks since many of them are favorites of mine.
