After Kate McCann passed out live on air during the most recent Tory leadership debate on TalkTV, Piers Morgan sent her well wishes.
Tuesday night during Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak’s head-to-head, the presenter passed out and collapsed on the floor.
The current events clearly shocked Foreign Secretary Truss, who screamed “Oh my God” and put her hands to her face. The debate was then abruptly taken off the air.
Following the event, journalists from many facets of the media have been supporting McCanna, with Piers writing:
“I’ve seen some devious methods to make oneself the biggest celebrity at @TalkTV but this is outrageous @KateEMcCann – I’m pleased you’re okay, really.
McCann, the political editor for TalkTV, was scheduled to co-host The Sun’s Showdown: The Fight for No.10 with Harry Cole, the political editor for The Sun.
However, hours before the program was scheduled to air, McCann tested positive for covid.
Soon after the interruption, the former chancellor and the foreign secretary also tweeted to wish the journalist well.
