Preacher robbed of $1 million worth of jewelry while preaching

During a livestreamed sermon in the city of New York, a preacher known for his extravagant lifestyle was robbed of more than $1 million (£840,000) in jewelry.

The 44-year-old Lamor Whitehead has pledged that those responsible “won’t get away with it.”

Rolex watches, diamonds, and emeralds were among the possessions recovered from the ostentatious preacher who drove a Rolls Royce.

Police are currently looking into what happened. No suspects have been identified or detained as of yet.

Just before six men in black entered the Brooklyn church, Mr. Whitehead can be heard saying, “How many of you have lost your faith because you saw somebody else die?”

The masked burglars, according to Mr. Whitehead, made off in a Mercedes.

The New York Post said that after the heist, his and his wife’s possessions were stolen, including a $75,000 Rolex and Cavalier watch, a $25,000 Episcopal ruby and diamond ring, a pair of $25,000 earrings, and even his wedding band.
