A five-year-old girl has passed away after being bitten by a snake in her father’s house, which is said to be home to 40 snakes.
The removal of the reptiles from the home in Bihar, India, is captured on camera after one of the animals bit the toddler.
Despite being taken urgently to North Dinajpur Raiganj Hospital, the medical staff was unable to save her.
Following a search for the snake, a snake charmer allegedly discovered 40 of them inside the residence.
All of them were captured and later released into a nearby forest.
A video depicts a sizable crowd assembling to observe one being placed into a sack for evacuation.
Another video shows a group of about five snakes entangled within a container.
The tragedy happened after an 8-year-old youngster who was bitten by an adder on a Norfolk beach earlier this year nearly died.
Eight-year-old Jake Closier was left vomiting, his hand had swollen to “five times the normal size,” and the venom had caused his veins to constrict.
Another girl, age 8, from the Birmingham area was sent to the hospital right away after being bitten by an adder in April while enjoying a family picnic.
