Bishop Lamor Miller-Whitehead a preacher based in New York is renowned for his exuberant appearance and close relationship with Mayor Eric Adams.
Three robbers allegedly invaded his Livestream church service at his Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries, according to the police. He and his wife were confronted with pistol flashes and property demands.
Prior to a man brandishing a gun entering the frame of the now-viral video making the rounds online, Bishop Charles Miller-Whitehead can be seen getting down on his hands and knees and repeating, “all right, all right.”
The video also shows another man approaching the bishop, standing close to him for a short while, and then vanishing.
According to the police, the thieves held a gun in the face of his infant daughter while robbing his wife of her jewelry and ripping off his collar to get his chain.
Miller-Whitehead, the founder of Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries, says he felt a “demonic force” enter his church during the armed robbery on Sunday.
He said he’s not sure if the gunmen “wanted to shoot the church up or if they were just coming for a robbery”. The NYPD is investigating and has offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
