Kim Hyo-Joo is a South Korean professional golfer who competes on the LPGA of Korea Tour and the LPGA Tour. She was born on July 14, 1995, in Wonju, Gangwon-Do, South Korea.
She gained admission to Korea University’s golf program which has produced many outstanding players over the years. While in the University she turned pro in 2012 but continued to play for the university.

Her debut in a major competition came at the 2014 Evian Championship. With a 61 in the opening round, she won the 2014 Evian Championship while also breaking the major record for the lowest 18-hole score. Kim Hyo-Joo agreed to join the LPGA Tour in 2015.
She has so far earned over two million dollars in prize money from the various golf tournaments she has participated in. She has been accompanied by her older sister, who has been her caddy at certain tournaments.
