Dylan O’Brien, an American actor, was born in New York City to former actress Lisa O’Brien, who managed an acting school, and camera operator Patrick O’Brien. He rose to notoriety as Thomas in the Maze Runner science fiction film trilogy (2014–2018), which led to other cinematic appearances.
He portrayed Caleb Holloway, a survivor of the Deepwater Horizon explosion, in the catastrophe film Deepwater Horizon (2016), fictitious counter-terrorist Mitch Rapp in the action thriller American Assassin (2017), and the main character in the Transformers film Bumblebee (2018).
