During a Monday visit at the UN, Meghan Markle stepped in to save the day.
The 40-year-old Duchess of Sussex gave a woman who was hacking up a lung a bottle of water in an effort to calm her down.
Markle and Prince Harry went to the UN on the Upper East Side for Nelson Mandela International Day, where the latter royal was giving a speech.
During the occasion, a woman sitting behind the pair started coughing, so Markle turned around and gave her some water.
The sweet gesture was posted on social media, and many followers commended Markle for her generosity.
One pointed out: “To offer your bottle of water to another woman who is coughing tells me more of Duchess Meghan’s character, than any hit piece book written about her.”
“Meghan giving her bottle of water to the lady behind her. Always kind a[nd] caring,” a fan said.
Another noted: “That’s our gal never misses a beat. Always aware of her surroundings and will help if needed.”
