Liverpool agrees to a deal worth up to £4m with Rangers for the sale of defender Ben Davies. Davies joined Liverpool for an initial £500,000 from Preston last year but has not made a first-team appearance. He spent his last season on loan at Sheffield United.
The deal is to take Davies, who played 21 Championship games on loan at Sheffield United last season. He is worth £3m guaranteed, with the remainder of the fee made up of achievable add-ons, linked to matches played and team performance.
Davies made 145 appearances for Preston where he came through the academy.
