
Jak Knight, a stand-up comedian, writer, and actor with credits in cinema, television, and online, died Friday night in Los Angeles at the age of 28.

Knight most recently co-created and starred in the Peacock original series Bust Down alongside Chris Redd, Sam Jay, and Langston Kerman. Knight, who co-executive produced Pause with Sam Jay for HBO, had just finished filming Chelsea Peretti’s feature directorial debut, First Time Female Director.
Knight previously worked as a writer on the successful animated Netflix series Big Mouth for five seasons before playing Devon. Knight had performed internationally as a comedian, and his half-hour Netflix Special debuted in 2018 as part of The Comedy Lineup series.
Knight’s sudden death at the age of 28 was disclosed earlier today, upsetting the Hollywood community who viewed him as a rising star as a writer, producer, and stand-up comedian.
