Jon Stewart Enters The Emmy Race Again

Between 2003 until 2012, Jon Stewart won the late-night Emmy ten times in a row, and again in 2015 for his final season of The Daily Show.

The comedian is nominated for an Emmy once more, but this time he has changed categories.

His Apple TV+ program The Problem with Jon Stewart, which premieres in September 2021, has received a nomination in the category of Hosted Nonfiction (Series or Special).

He will face off against programs like Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, Vice, and The World alongside My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. Jeff Goldblum claims in the category.

A nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Non-Fiction Program was also received by the program.

As a result, Stewart won’t have to compete in the more prestigious Outstanding Variety Talk Series category with some of his protégés, including John Oliver and Stephen Colbert.

Each episode of The Problem with Jon Stewart is an hour-long current affairs program that focuses on a specific subject topic.

Showrunner Brinda Adhikari is the executive producer, while Stewart, together with his longtime manager James Dixon and former HBO boss Richard Plepler, are executive producers through their company, Eden Productions.
