A football game in Buenos Aires was marred by violence, which resulted in seven people being shot, including a teenager who is currently fighting for his life.
After only 15 minutes, a brawl broke out during the fourth division match between the two rival clubs Club Lujan and Club Alem at the Campo Municipal de Deportes stadium in the Argentinian capital.
It’s believed that seven individuals have been shot, and there have been 20 or so injuries.
One of them is a lad, 18, who is reportedly in critical condition.
According to local media accounts, fights between fans occurred both inside and outside the stadium.
Fans fighting and hurling missiles were captured on camera throughout the game.
The game allegedly was disrupted by a “sound bomb,” an acoustic weapon meant to manage crowds.
Police reportedly used rubber bullets and subsequently tear gas to try and control the gathering.
The wounded were taken to the close-by Municipal Hospital Nuestra Senora de Lujan.
Alem’s Facebook page posted a statement saying: “Unfortunately, the classic was suspended owing to incidents.
‘What should be a football party is overshadowed by a group of violent people.’
